Maha Sharba

Maha has an extensive experience in teaching Arabic to both adults and children. She has always believed in a learner-centred approach to teaching, and that language should be shared, not taught. She always seeks ways to deliver the best education to students who want to learn Arabic. Maha Joined the Sharek centre team after completing the Certificate in Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language (TAFL) offered by the centre. She is the author of several children’s books, specifically written for guided reading, a research-based project in conjunction with the Institute of Education, University of London. She has had a number of specialized training courses on teaching and learning, such as a training on teaching reading through guided activities in Cairo, Egypt.

Maha has a BA Honour in Childhood and Youth Studies.
